Card 26: Energy Invalidation
Your Self: Is this an attack on who I am?
The Pattern: Dismissing your intuition
What They Say/Do:
- “I don’t believe in that stuff.”
- “You’re imagining things.”
- “That’s all in your head.”
- “There’s no such thing as ‘energy.’”
- “You’re being paranoid.”
What the Pattern Usually Does:
Your intuition has detected something they don’t want seen. By dismissing your perception as nonsensical, they protect themselves from accountability. If your feelings aren’t real, they don’t have to address the cause.
Why naming energy threatens them: When you say “your energy feels bad” or “something feels off,” you’re naming what they’re actively trying to hide. Their entire strategy depends on the surface appearing fine while manipulation operates underneath. Your intuition cuts through the performance and sees the real dynamic, and that threatens their control.
How It Hooks You:
You doubt your intuition. You stop trusting the subtle signals that tell you something is wrong. You defer to their “logical” framework even when your body is screaming.
Your Power Move:
“My perception is valid whether or not you share it.” You don’t need their agreement to trust what you feel.
“When you said ‘your energy feels bad,’ you named what they were trying to hide, and that threatened them.”
